I always enjoy Ms. Malone’s stories, and this one didn’t disappoint. Between a great cast of likable characters, trying circumstances, mystery and suspense, it kept the pages turning.New college graduate, Penny Anderson, is trying to move into her apartment after being accepted at the Anderson Accounting firm. All her so-called-friends that promised to help her reneged, she finds herself frustrated, run down, and no, not getting sick too. When a man in the apartment complex offers help, she instead snaps at him and lets him know she has everything under control.
Dr. Nick Jarvis is one of the few doctors accepting new patients. When he enters the exam room, he sees his new patient, Penny, hasn’t followed his nurse's orders to put on the gown. Upon examining her, he discovers she has bronchitis. He also recognizes her as the new tenant at the apartment complex.
The plot has Nick taking extra care with his new patient and neighbor, Penny. What starts out as bronchitis changes to pneumonia and has Nick making many house calls over the next several days. Penny argues she starts a new job on Monday, and when Nick learns it is with his friend, Derek Anderson, he contacts him to move her start date to Wednesday. It doesn’t take long for Nick and Penny to start developing feelings for each other. Her attitude, disobedience, and reckless behavior will land her pulled over his lap for correction. Keeping secrets, breaking the rules and safety issues are a big issue with dominant men like Nick and Derek. The story will have some intense, life and death moments that come from Penny digging into discrepancies at work. The story has many bare bottom spankings, but no sex scenes.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Penny just graduated college. She moves into a new apartment and gets her first job in her new field. Unfortunately, she becomes ill and winds up moving all on her own hoping to be well before her first day. She hates going to the doctor, but has no choice. Dr. Nick Jarvis is gorgeous AND he lives in her complex. He also makes house calls just for Penny. He believes in spanking, but he also makes Penny feel safe and loved. Bonus you get a glimse into their friend 's relationship which is also DD. Really nice loving DD read.

I wish that I had a Dr. like him . Never could except orders from Dr.s .
It was a good book. I like DD life style stories but there was something about writing style I was not thrilled with. I thought it had good plot and interesting aspects to it. I would buy it again for the price.
It's an interesting story. It's not very realistic, but it entertains certainly. Nick is extremely controlling, and Penny is extremely helpless.
I enjoyed this tale of a young accountant alone in the world and her --find in the phonebook -- doctor. She is sick, her fair weather friends left her when it rained both figuratively and in reality. Leaving Nick to pick up the pieces.
The story evolves from there to fun loving and spanking fun.
I've read this book three times now. It is enjoyable on so many levels. The characters were really well developed, and they really connected. She was feisty, sweet and funny. He was a caring authoritative strong guy, not afraid to warm her bottom when needed.
As a nurse myself, it wasn't hard to believe what I read. When she was kidnapped, there was enough details to keep me turning pages. Loved the relationship between her and her boss Derek and his wife. I loved the unfolding scene of them going shopping before a snow storm, not taking their phones and staying out later than they'd promised. I'm sure you can guess what happened next D but it was just a lovely scene.
Buy this book, you'll love it.
